Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)

Students who are interested in Finance and Accounting or the professionals who have working in this field are very welcome to have ACCA’s Certified Accounting Technician course. This course will provide the students wealth of knowledge and skills to start their career in the Finance and Accounting sectors and the professionals will be nurtured by the organized and realistic structure of the course. Students who are also interested to accelerate their progression with ACCA qualification and the professionals who are poised to start their career in the senior management posts can make their best choice to start CAT course.

Entry Requirements

There is no formal academic requirement to start CAT course. However practical experience of one year or more or completed NVQ level 4 will enable the students to be awarded with exemptions. Students must be 16 years or more to start this course.


Duration: A full time student can finish this course in 18 months.

Level A

  • Paper 1 – Recording financial Transactions
  • Paper 2 – Information for Management Control

Level B

  • Paper 3 – Maintaining Financial Records
  • Paper 4 – Accounting for Costs

Level C

  • Paper 5 – Managing People and Systems
  • Paper 6 – Drafting Financial Statements
  • Paper 7 – Planning, Control and Performance Management

Further Two Options From:

  • Paper 8 – Implementing audit Procedures
  • Paper 9 – Preparing Taxation
  • Paper 10 – Managing Finances

Examinations are held twice a year, June & December
